1. Subscription Billing Terms
OhoLingo ("we," "us," or "our") offers paid subscriptions and digital products that unlock premium features and content on oholingo.com and related services (the "Service"). Fees, billing cycles, and applicable taxes are shown at checkout and in your account or receipt before you pay.
By purchasing a subscription or other paid offering, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis for subscription plans, unless you cancel before the renewal date as described below. All amounts are processed in the currency displayed at purchase unless otherwise stated.
You are responsible for maintaining accurate billing details and a valid payment method. If a charge fails, we may suspend access to paid features until payment succeeds or the subscription ends.
2. Auto-Renewal Policy
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. The renewal rate is the then-current price for your plan (which may change with reasonable notice where required by law).
You can see your next renewal date and amount in your account settings and in communications we or our payment provider send you when applicable.
- How to stop renewal: Cancel before the renewal date using the billing or subscription controls in your account, or follow the cancellation path provided by the app store or payment processor if you subscribed through them.
- No automatic refund on renewal: Renewal fees are generally non-refundable except where this policy, our Terms of Service, or applicable law says otherwise.
3. Cancellation Terms
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future billing; it does not erase past charges except where refunds apply as stated below.
Effect of cancellation
- After you cancel, you typically retain access to paid features through the end of the billing period you already paid for, unless we state otherwise at purchase or applicable platform rules differ.
- If you subscribed through Apple App Store, Google Play, or another platform, you may need to cancel through that platform's subscription management tools.
4. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are not guaranteed for all purchases. Where we offer them, they are provided in line with this policy, our Terms of Service, and mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to you.
Unless a law in your region requires a different rule, discretionary refunds may be considered when you contact support within a reasonable time after charge, describe the issue, and your account is in good standing (for example, no abuse of refunds or payment systems).
If you believe you are entitled to a refund under law (for example, a statutory cooling-off period where applicable), follow the process in Section 8 and include your country or region of residence so we can respond correctly.
5. Non-Refundable Circumstances
The following are generally non-refundable except where required by law:
- Subscription fees for periods during which you had access to premium features, after those periods have begun or completed.
- Fees charged after a free trial converts to paid, if you did not cancel before the trial ended in accordance with the trial terms.
- Partial-month or partial-period amounts when you cancel mid-term, unless we elect to offer a prorated credit or refund at our discretion.
- Purchases made using promotional credits, gift balances, or non-cash instruments when stated as final at purchase.
- Accounts terminated for breach of our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, or fraud prevention measures.
This list does not limit statutory rights that cannot be waived in your jurisdiction.
6. Trial Period Terms
We may offer free or discounted trials for new or eligible users. Trial availability, length, and eligibility are described on the signup or checkout screen.
- Conversion: Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription may automatically begin and your payment method may be charged at the end of the trial at the price shown at signup.
- One trial per eligibility rules: We may limit trials to one per user, payment method, household, or device to prevent abuse.
- Trials and refunds: If you are charged after a trial you did not intend to continue, contact us promptly; we may resolve it consistent with Section 4 and Section 8.
7. Promotional Purchase Terms
Promotions, coupons, annual prepayment discounts, and bundled offers are subject to the specific terms shown at checkout or in the promotional materials.
- Promotional pricing may apply only to the first payment or first term, after which standard pricing applies.
- Stacking of multiple promotions may be prohibited unless explicitly allowed.
- Refunds for promotional purchases are calculated based on the amount you actually paid, after discounts.
8. Regional Consumer Rights Notice
Consumer rights vary by country and region. Nothing in this policy limits non-waivable rights you have under applicable law.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
If you are a consumer, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from certain distance contracts within 14 days of purchase. For digital content delivered immediately with your prior express consent and acknowledgment that you lose the withdrawal right, that right may not apply as permitted by law. Where the right applies and has not been validly waived, you may contact us within the withdrawal period to request cancellation and reimbursement in line with those rules.
Other regions
Residents of Australia, New Zealand, Québec, or U.S. states with specific auto-renewal or refund laws may receive additional notices or rights at checkout or by email. If you think a local law gives you remedies beyond this policy, tell us your location when you write to support.
9. Chargeback Policy
If you have a billing concern, contact us first so we can investigate and resolve it without involving your bank or card network.
Unfounded or abusive chargebacks may result in suspension or closure of your account and loss of access to paid features. We may share transaction records with payment processors to dispute invalid chargebacks.
If a chargeback is decided in your favor by the payment network, we will treat the underlying charge as reversed and may disable related subscriptions or entitlements.
10. Billing Errors Procedure
If you believe you were charged in error—duplicate charge, wrong amount, or charge after cancellation reported successfully—email us with the date, amount, and a screenshot or receipt if available.
- We will confirm receipt and aim to respond within a reasonable business timeframe.
- If we verify a billing error, we will correct it by refund, credit, or adjustment, as appropriate.
- If we cannot verify an error, we will explain our finding and any options available to you under law.
