What level can I start at?
OhoLingo is designed for Norwegian learners from A1 to B2.
You can choose a course based on your current knowledge and goal: strengthen your foundation, move to the next level or prepare for Norskprøven.
Is OhoLingo useful if I have already studied Norwegian?
Yes.
OhoLingo is particularly useful if you already know individual words and grammar rules but want to organise your knowledge, understand the grammar more clearly and see how the language works as a system.
The courses are structured step by step and help you gradually move from knowing the rules to actually using them.
Can I prepare for Norskprøven with OhoLingo?
Yes.
OhoLingo includes courses and materials for Norskprøven preparation at A2, B1 and B2 levels.
You can organise your grammar and vocabulary, practise listening, writing and speaking, and work on the skills you need for the exam.
Many students who studied with our courses have successfully taken Norskprøven and achieved A2, B1 and B2 results.
Is OhoLingo just a collection of video courses?
No.
The courses provide the main structure of the learning journey, but OhoLingo also includes interactive exercises, listening, vocabulary practice, speaking activities, pronunciation training, Phrase of the Day and additional materials for regular practice.
What kinds of exercises are available?
Exercise formats vary depending on the topic and course.
They may include multiple choice, true / false, choosing the correct answer, sentence-based activities, vocabulary practice, listening, speaking and other interactive exercises.
Their purpose is not simply to test the correct answer, but to help you reinforce what you have learned and start using it independently.
What is Phrase of the Day?
Every day, OhoLingo gives you a new useful Norwegian phrase.
It is an easy way to spend a few minutes with Norwegian even when you do not have time for a full lesson: listen to the phrase, understand it, repeat it and try using it yourself.
Does OhoLingo include speaking practice?
Yes.

How does payment work?
Subscriptions are billed monthly in Norwegian kroner.
You can pay by bank card through Stripe or with Vipps.
Can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription from the billing settings. After cancellation, you will keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Can I use OhoLingo on my phone?
Yes.
OhoLingo works on phones, tablets and computers.
Your progress is saved, so you can start learning on one device and continue on another.
How is my progress tracked?
You earn XP by completing lessons and activities.
You can see your course progress, learning streak, achievements and completed material.
This makes it easier to see how far you have come, even when you learn a little at a time.
Do I need to study every day?
No.
You can learn at your own pace and return to your courses whenever it suits you.
But even when you only have a few minutes, Phrase of the Day and short activities make it easy to keep regular contact with Norwegian.
Which form of Norwegian do the courses teach?
The courses are primarily based on Bokmål.
Listening and practical activities also help you gradually become more comfortable with the way Norwegian sounds in real life.
How long does it take to reach the next level?
That depends on your starting level, how regularly you study, how much you practise and how often you use Norwegian outside the platform.
