Cluster: Norwegian grammar
In neutral main clauses the finite verb is second. After a leading adverb, the verb still claims position two.
Today / speaks / I / Norwegian → I dag snakker jeg norsk.
Nå går jeg hjem.
Now I’m going home.
I går studerte jeg mye.
Yesterday I studied a lot.
Take three simple statements and prepend I dag, then fix the verb placement.
